DEATHS THIS WEEK

Hello and welcome Back… 2 Sad Deaths this Week

FLORIAN SCHNEIDER – Kraftwerk
One of the founding members of the 70s / 80s electronic band “Kraftwerk”

Kraftwerk was more than just a German Electronic Band, they were also a pioneer of Synthesizers and Drum Machines.
While the rest of the world was still hung on on rock music, Kraftwerk were bending the boundaries between human and machine, in what would be the start of synthesizers being added into bands and being accepted as ‘cool’

Ask any early 80s band, “who was your inspiration to become a synth band”, whether it would be Depeche Mode, OMD, Human League, Thomas Dolby, Midge Ure / Ultravox, etc,etc..
Their response will be one of two things.. David Bowie or Kraftwerk

RIP Florian Schneider & thank you for the music

He was 73 years young
