Hello and welcome back….. Watching a show on TV at the moment called ‘Resurrection’ and instantly recognized the theme being played ‘The Power of Love’, sung by a young lady by the name of ‘Gabrielle Aplin’.

The original ‘Power of Love’ song was done beautifully by ‘Frankie Goes to Hollywood’ in 1984, it is a haunting song that is amazing to listen to.

A quote from Holly Johnson about this song – “I always felt like The Power Of Love was the record that would save me in this life. There is a biblical aspect to its spirituality and passion; the fact that love is the only thing that matters in the end.”

THE GRID- SWAMP THING (Lost Hit)

Hello and welcome back….Formed in 1988, U.K electronic band ‘The Grid’ had to wait until 1993 to release one of the best songs of their career… ‘Swamp Thing’.
A former member of 80s band ‘Soft Cell – David Ball’ is a member of The Grid along with ‘Richard Norris’

This song from the album ‘Evolver’ made it to No3 in Australia and U.K Music charts.

‘Swamp Thing’ is a catchy tune, mostly from the amazing sound of banjos in a dance song. They were played by folk musician ‘ Roger Dinsdale’,…. sadly in July 2009, Rodger committed suicide.

Hello and welcome back…..From the 1983 album ‘Sports’ came this stunning single called ‘Heart and Soul’.

It made it to No8 on the U.S music charts and No1 on the ‘Top Tracks’ charts also in the U.S

In the U.K it made it to No 61 (Seriously?) and No 25 in Australia.

The guitar sounds are divine… For me its a ‘How a 80s sound should be’….I love it, turn it up loud 🙂 and remember the 80s with me….
